The Birds came from behind to beat the Washington Nationals 7-6 on Friday night at Camden Yards. It was the first time that the O's posted consecutive victories since mid-May.
The Orioles were down 6-0 in the fourth inning, but battled back to tie the game in the eighth and walk off with a victory in the ninth. It was the biggest comeback for the O's this season...
Jake Arrieta got hit hard early on, but the bullpen combined for 4 2/3 innings of scoreless ball, allowing the offense to slowly creep back into the game.
Best managerial call of the game: Juan Samuel took slumping Garrett Atkins out in the eighth inning...Atkins was 0-for-3 and had grounded into a double-play with the bases loaded in the second inning. Pinch-hitter Scott Moore launched a two-run blast that put the O's within a run.
The Birds look to make it three straight Saturday afternoon...Brad Bergesen is expected to make the start. Go O's!
