O's Win Fourth Straight Under Showalter

The O's continued an impressive streak on Friday night, taking the first game against the visiting Chicago White Sox 2-1 in ten innings.

The Birds took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning, and didn't score again until Adam Jones' walk-off single scored Nick Markakis in the bottom of the tenth. Jones had popped out with the bases loaded in the eighth, but was the hero after the O's walked-off with a win for the second straight game. Markakis went 4-for-5, marking his first four-hit game of the season...

Brad Bergesen became the fourth straight starter to log a quality start, but had to settle for a no-decision. Bergesen allowed just one run (a solo homer) on five hits through seven innings, walking one while fanning five. Koji Uehara pitched an inning of scoreless relief, striking out two. Alfredo Simon pitched the final two frames and was credited with the win.

The Orioles are now 4-0 in the Buck Showalter era, and look to win their fifth straight game for the first time all season on Saturday night. The Birds send Kevin Millwood to the mound...
