Rays Get Revenge on National Stage

Playing an afternoon game on FOX for the first time this season, the O's started out hot but faded fast in a 7-3 loss to Tampa Bay on Saturday.

Adam Jones broke open a scoreless game with a three-run blast off the left field foul pole in the third inning, but the bats went cold after that. The O's squandered a bases loaded opportunity with one out in the first inning, but seemed to grab the momentum after Jones' shot...

Brian Matusz was unable to hold onto it though, as the Rays tagged him for a five-run fourth, with four runs coming on a grand slam off the bat of back-up catcher Kelly Shoppach. Matusz was charged with the loss, and is now tied with Kevin Millwood for the most losses (12) in the A.L.

The Birds could still win the series with a victory on Sunday afternoon, which would give the team it's first winning road trip this season. Jake Arrieta takes the mound.
